God uses everyone for His service irrespective of their educational background. Yet, it is also important to remember that the law, some prophetic books, and the epistles were written by very highly learned men of those times - Moses, Daniel, and Paul. A section of books in God's word is known as 'Wisdom literature', and God is always well pleased when someone desires wisdom. God desires a generation of people who would understand His word, understand the times, and delve deep into the marvels of His creation. Shall we intercede that our next generation desires Godly wisdom and knowledge?
Death, sickness, and infirmities are a constant reminder of the fall of mankind, and our desire to access the tree of life to live eternally. It is painful to make a loved one suffer or die due to illness. It is still more painful if such suffering could be avoided through medical treatment that remains inaccessible. For such a huge population, for a country whose students desire so much to become doctors, we still don't have enough doctors and hospitals, and many medical community workers are overworked. There is also a fear that the greed of the pharma industry may render them non-trustable. Let's remember to pray not just for sick people around, but also for leadership, and policy-level changes to occur.
Prayer points:
Pray for God's blessing and guidance on the two departments under the ministry of education: The departments of school education & literacy, and higher education; and for the two departments under the ministry of health and family welfare: The departments of health and family welfare, and health research.
Pray that every child in our country will have access to quality education irrespective of financial/community background. Pray that the syllabus preparations, the policy level changes, and the selection of teachers are all directed toward bringing up the next generation well in accordance with God's will.
Pray that every child's God-given gift will be identified and nurtured, that they will be equipped well, that they will be disciplined and corrected where necessary, and go beyond mere competitions and a degree in paper, to being exemplary citizens of our country.
Pray for access to equitable, affordable & quality healthcare services that are accountable and responsive to people's needs. Pray that the awareness of and the care given for communicable and non-communicable would improve in both urban and rural areas.
Pray that the research going towards the management of epidemics, cancer, neural and mental illness would be blessed with Godly wisdom.
