The Song of Jonah | A DanTina composition
A DanTina composition (2012)
This is a song written from the perspective of Jonah.
We too, many a times run away from God because of the guilt of not choosing to obey Him. We at times yield to temptations because we neither chose to fight, nor chose to flee from sin. We at times disobey God's call because it's inconvenient or because the cost is too high. Sometimes the adversary deceives us into thinking that God would not take us back this time. This is a prayer song to a God who never gives up on us.
When you are alone and despised in the path of your own making; When you are cast down and feel breathless, drowning in the outcome of your own doing; Just remember, He is just a prayer away. He never gave up on you and He never will.

Lyrics:
I don't know how to fight, and
I don't know how to flee
When temptations grab my mind
I am so weak, I just agree
When every thought I have
Just grieves the Spirit that You gave,
When I've planned to disobey, Lord, How can I seek Your face.
I just want to, run away, far away from you,
But You catch me Lord, when I fall and You say, "I love you"
Don’t give up on me, my master Don’t give up on me
I have lost all that I have And I've got no other hope,
Just trust me once again, Give me a chance to change again
I yield my all to you, -To have
Your will be done in me. Dear Lord
I don’t know what to do, and
I don’t know where to go,
Your purpose for my life is hard
and I can't do it Lord.
When every step I take,
Could lead me far away
When I've planned to disobey, Lord, How can I seek Your face.
I just want to, run away, far away from you,
But You catch me Lord, when I fall and You say, "I love you"
