I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

 

I believe that God, the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. By His Word, He created all things and created man in His image, for His glory, with the breath of the Almighty giving man life.

 

I believe that man chose to sin and fall away from the glory of God, deserving the wrath of God and eternal separation from His Holy presence.

 

I believe that God in His mercy had a plan for man's redemption and moved through history revealing His power and grace to the people of Israel. He revealed Himself, His law and His Holiness as described in the inspired word we refer to as the Old testament.

 

I believe that in the fullness of time, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. He is God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. He was crucified for us, suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day, he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

 

I believe that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. His sinless sacrifice provided for our atonement, and He is our righteousness. He is the only way to the Father. By grace, we are saved through faith, and this is a gift from God.

 

I believe that the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. He exalts Christ, convicts people of sin, and enlightens and empowers believers and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.

 

I believe that all scripture (the old and the new testaments) is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

 

I believe that God is sovereign, and is working through His body - the church, for the establishment of His kingdom. Jesus Christ will come again to the earth to judge everyone and receive His own, and reign in the new heavens and the new earth, in new Jerusalem forever and ever.
